At Driven By Wellness Therapy, individual therapy is about feeling understood, seen, and valued. Whether you’re new to therapy or experienced, you’re welcome here. This is your chance to understand yourself better, recognize patterns, navigate trauma, create change, find acceptance, and grow.
Our sessions focus on your story and journey. My goal is to help you embrace your unique story and move forward with acceptance. Our conversations will be casual and relatable, yet professional. I’m here to empower you, support you, and bring a touch of humor to our sessions, making them both engaging and insightful.
We will deeply explore your thoughts and feelings to uncover unconscious patterns and identify unprocessed trauma. This exploration is key to making meaningful changes in how you think, feel, live, and relate to yourself and others. Therapy is a journey to your most authentic self, and it’s an honor to witness your healing and growth.

WALK & TALK THERAPY:

Walk & Talk Therapy offers a holistic way to experience therapy with numerous benefits. Walking is a powerful activity that supports physical, mental, and emotional health by releasing endorphins (also known as happy hormones) in the brain, promoting blood circulation, and enhancing oxygen flow throughout the body. This activity can help calm the mind, leading to improved mental clarity and emotional well-being.
Being in nature during our sessions enhances mindfulness, fostering deeper insights, creativity, growth, and healing. Outdoor settings are proven to reduce stress and provide essential vitamins for overall health. Nature also activates the senses, creating a vibrant and alive experience.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS?
Walk & Talk Therapy is an excellent option for young adults who prefer not to make direct eye contact, or for anyone who enjoys the benefits of fresh air and movement. We will walk at a pace that feels comfortable for you, so there's no need to worry about keeping up.
WHERE DO WE MEET?
If you choose Walk & Talk Therapy, we will discuss session locations during your consultation. Most popular spots are Phillipe Park about minutes from my office or we start right outside of our office in Downtown Safety Harbor.

EMDR THERAPY
$150 // 40- 55 minutes
EMDR is a unique approach that has been clinically effective in treating, anxiety, PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. If you've tried talk therapy in the past and still find that your history of trauma continues to interfere with various aspects of your life, then it might be helpful to try the EMDR approach. EMDR allows you to adaptively process traumatic memories using bilateral stimulation and provides you with the resources to be able to tolerate difficult feelings associated with the trauma. Processing and integrating traumatic memories can lead to developing healthier relationship patterns with the self and others. EMDR can be a great treatment modality alongside your regular therapy sessions

An EMDR therapy session differs from typical talk therapy. Your therapist will guide you through a specific process involving "resources" and "protocols" to help you safely reconnect with distressing experiences. During the session, you'll notice and explore images, self-thoughts, emotions, and body sensations related to these experiences.
EMDR sessions are personalized, as each individual's memories are unique. The therapy usually starts with a few sessions focused on stabilization, grounding, and psycho-education. The standard EMDR protocol consists of eight phases, including resourcing, processing, and installation, although this may vary.
Processing involves bilateral stimulation, which can be facilitated by eye movements, auditory clicks, tapping, or tactile buzzers, depending on your comfort and response.

After an EMDR session, you may experience several side effects as your mind and body process the therapeutic work. These can include:
Increased Awareness: You might notice a heightened awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations.
Emotional Sensitivity: It's common to feel more emotionally sensitive or have mood swings as your brain processes the memories.
Physical Sensations: Some people report physical sensations like fatigue, headaches, or body aches.
Vivid Dreams: You may have more vivid or intense dreams as your mind continues to process the session.
Temporary Discomfort: While processing can lead to relief, it can also bring up temporary discomfort or distress related to the targeted memories.
These side effects are generally temporary and part of the healing process. If you have any concerns, discuss them with your therapist.
